As a lifelong sports fan, I learned from a young age just how important the art of storytelling is. In my experience as a Social Media Manager for UREC at the University of Alabama and a PJ Boatwright Jr. Marketing and Communications Intern for the Tennesee Golf Association, I have continued to tell stories through creative and engaging digital and social content.
Thinking Outside the Box
Part of being a good storyteller is coming up with new, innovative ways to present information. In my role as a Social Media Manager for UREC, I have generated over 100,000 social media impressions with an average engagement rate of 4.5%. I received the "Outside-the-Box" award in 2024 for creating engaging and original content. In 2025 I was honored to be nominated for the University of Alabama's Student Employee of the Year in addition to winning the "Voice of UREC" award for my role in producing and providing play-by-play commentary for the Intramural Basketball Champs Night in addition to my work on UREC's "Hot Take Campaign."
